Plenty of livestock farms in busy summer land market
Farmers seeking the opportunity to get their hands on a livestock holding could be in luck this summer as several have been launched in the busy land market.
Demand remains at an extremely high level, especially from non-agricultural buyers, but supply is continuing to lift and farmers are still the main purchasers of holdings larger than 100 acres.
Here’s a selection of what’s on offer across England, Wales and Scotland.

Scottish farm
Dykes Farm, near Stirling, is on the market with Galbraith as a whole or in three lots, for offers over £2.62m.
The 350-acre mixed holding includes a four-bedroom house, four-bedroom bungalow, three-bedroom cottage and a range of buildings.
Welsh holding
Near Myddfai, in Carmarthenshire, Savills is selling 289-acre Ysgubor Fawr for £2.1m.
It comes with cropping, grazing and amenity land, a five-bedroom house, several buildings, and common grazing rights, as well as the potential for environmental uses.
Devon unit
Stags has launched Langabeare Barton in Hatherleigh, near Okehampton, guided at £3.1m.
The 289-acre livestock farm has pasture and arable land, a six-bedroom house, and a range of buildings.
It is available as a whole or in three lots.
Stock option
Flatts of Cargen, near Dumfries in south-west Scotland, is on the market with H&H Land & Estates.
Guided at £1.2m, the 188-acre livestock unit includes two three-bedroom properties and a variety of buildings.
Development potential
Near Wedmore in Somerset, Woolley & Wallis is selling 172-acre Totney Farm as a whole or in two lots with a guide of £3.25m.
The pasture holding comes with an eight-bedroom house, a range of buildings and permission to build three additional properties.
Mixed property
Cundalls has launched Prospect House Farm, at Suffield, near Scarborough, guided at £1.25m.
It includes 138 acres of arable and grass land, a period three-bedroom house and a number of modern and traditional buildings.
Diversification opportunity
Spring Farm, near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, is on the market with Strutt & Parker.
The holding includes 97 acres of pasture and arable land, a three-bedroom house, one-bedroom annexe, buildings and stables. It is guided at £3.25m.
Residential unit
Near Whitby in Yorkshire, Cundalls is selling 105-acre Scalefoot Farm for £1.6m.
The unit comes with a range of buildings, a five-bedroom house, two cottages and one building with planning permission for conversion.
