Roxburghe Estate offers two hill farm tenancies

Roxburghe Estates in the Scottish Borders is offering two farm tenancies at Cocklawfoot Farm and Swindon Farm, between Kelso and Yetholm, in the Cheviot Hills.
Both hill farms are being let on 15-year minimum Limited Duration Tenancies, with stock to be taken on by the incoming tenants.
The largest, Cocklawfoot Farm, is about 1,917 acres, while Swindon Farm is about 739 acres.
Cocklawfoot has a four-bedroom farmhouse and a range of agricultural buildings, including a six-bay cattle court and straw shed, a seven-bay general-purpose building, a hay shed and sheep handling facilities.
The stock currently includes 1,160 breeding ewes and 260 hoggs. The majority of the land is hill (about 1,561 acres) or hill enclosures (about 323 acres), with about 32 acres of pasture.
Swindon Farm currently supports 588 breeding ewes and 188 hoggs across 506 acres of hill, 129 acres of hill enclosures and 79 acres of permanent pasture. There is also about 25 acres of arable land.
It has a seven-bay cattle court and straw shed, a general-purpose shed, hay shed, sheep handling facilities and loose cattle housing. A cottage can be provided if required.
