NI milk price falls

Milk prices have dropped by almost 0.6p/litre at the latest auction by Northern Ireland co-op United Dairy Farmers.

A total of 45m litres was sold at an average price of 24.8p/litre, down from 25.38p/litre in June and 26.5p/litre the month before.

Despite the fall, prices remained well above the same period last year when the July auction averaged just 19.5p/litre.
