NMR profits hit £1.2m

NMR has reported a profit before tax of £1.2m to the year ending 31 March 2014, up from £0.8m the previous year. Operating profit jumped 28% to £893,000
The company which includes National Milk Records, National Milk Laboratories and National Livestock Records, said its improved performance was driven by operational savings from a new site at Four Ashes, Wolverhampton.

NMR was created with 27,000 dairy farmer shareholders, after the break up of the Milk Marketing Board in 1993. It provides information to dairy farmers and milk payment testing services to processor.
