2400 farmers have been paid their SFP so far
The Rural Payments Agency has so far paid out a total of £19m to 2400 farmers in the form of single farm payments.
An agency spokesman said the payments had gone out randomly and were not alphabetical or based on region.
The pace of payment was expected to pick up quite quickly and the agency still expects to “complete the bulk of payments by the end of March,” he added
On the issue of entitlement statements, the spokesman said most farmers should have one by the end of the week.
About 25,000 statements were mailed on Tuesday, 40,000 on Wednesday and 15,000 are due to go out on Thursday. Another 37,600 producers received theirs last week.
