RPA open on final SFP weekend

THE RURAL Payments Agency will keep its offices open on May 14 and May 15 to allow farmers to hand-deliver single farm payment application forms before the deadline.

An agency spokeswoman said offices and drop-in centres would be open from 8.30am until 5pm on both days so farmers did not have to trust their forms to the postal service.

But although the agency has announced this service, it is urging producers to get their applications in now if they can.

The deadline for forms to be returned without penalties applying is May 16.
