Rabi launches £250 school grants for farming families

The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (Rabi) has launched another round of its “back to school” grants.

Grants of £250 are available for families whose main income comes from farming, including farmworkers, with schoolchildren aged between four and 16.

The charity said there had been an incredible response to the scheme in 2022 and it wanted to extend it further this year.

A total of 2,000 grants will be made available in two phases. Phase one is currently open for applications, with approved payments due to be made by 1 September.

Grants are available for families in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Applications can be made by completing a form on the Rabi website or by calling the helpline on 0800 188 4444.

Rabi also offers a range of support for farmers facing hardship, including counselling and training grants.
