Poultry factory raided by UK Border Agency

Twenty-two staff working at a chicken processing plant in Derbyshire were arrested by UK Border Agency officials following a raid.
The suspected illegal immigrants were working at the Jinks Marketing International plant in Foston. Two of the workers have already been deported while the others are still being investigated.
A total of 56 staff were working in the processing unit when the raid took place. No charges have been brought against Jinks Marketing International, which is headquartered in Sandbach, Cheshire.
A spokesman for the UK Border Agency commented: “Two of the people were immediately removed, one is now waiting to be removed and the remainder are subject to ongoing inquiries.”
Jinks International has so far declined comment on the case.
