Three flocks – the Alwent, Callerton and Halbeath – staged an in-lamb ewe sale at Borderway Mart where a gimmer shearling from the Halbeath flock of Dunfermline breeders Nancy and Caroline Orr led the trade at 2000gns.
The gimmer was by Watchknowe Gameboy and out of a Baltier David ewe. Buyer was J Jack, Fife.
A Turin Hardy-sired gimmer from Messrs Nesbitt’s Alwent flock at Darlington made 1000gns to Messrs Grice, Co Durham.
