Dingwall & Highland Marts sold 338 adult breeding cattle at Monday’s (29 October) sale, with a Simmental bull commanding the day’s top price of £2,500. In-calf heifers twice reached a top of £2350, for a Limousin cross and a British Blue cross, with other leading prices at £1,400-1,800.

A Limousin topped the in-calf cow section at £1,100, with others at £840-1,090. A Shorthorn cross with a female calf peaked at £1,600, with a Limousin cow and female calves selling to £1,500. Cows with male calves reached £1,600, while an Aberdeen Angus cow with twin calves fetched £1,120.

A pair of Simmental crosses topped the bulling heifer section at £1,200, with other top prices at £920-£1,180.
