Somerset farm exceeds its guide
Despite ongoing difficulties in financial markets, a 158-acre farm in the south-west has sold in excess of its £2.5m guide price.
Copse Farm at Huntworth, near Bridgwater, Somerset, was on the market with south-west agent Stags and includeda three-storey mill converted former to residential accomodation, a four-bedroom farmhouse and a range of traditional and modern farm buildings.
Stags said interest was so strog the firm had received several offers before sale literature had even been printed.
The farm was bought by a local farmer. Although the exact figure is undisclosed it is understood that the land sold for about £8250/acre.
