Stock firm boosts parent group

FARMSTOCK BUSINESS Harrison and Hetherington turned in a strong performance in the year to June 2004, helping to boost the fortunes of its parent company H&H Group.


The subsidiary made a pre-tax profit of ÂŁ156,000, a rise of ÂŁ94,000 on the previous 12 months, handling 840,000 head of cattle and sheep, up 20%.


Parent H&H Group made an overall pre-tax profit of ÂŁ455,000, up 13% on the previous 12 months. Turnover increased by almost ÂŁ1m to ÂŁ7.5m.
