Three livestock farms come to the Welsh market

Three farms in Wales, led by 475 acres of pasture and hill land, come to the market this week.

Llanevan Farm, near Llandrindod Wells, Powys, is one of the largest farms in mid-Wales to be offered for some years. Its traditional five-bedroom farmhouse is in need of renovation, and there is a range of traditional farm buildings, some of which may have potential for alternative use. All ring-fenced, it provides a rare opportunity for a substantial livestock farm in the area.

McCartneys is offering Llanevan by informal tender with a guide price of ÂŁ1.8m-2m and offers are due by 19 July.

Two Carmarthen farms are also offered, near Llanelli and St Clears, respectively. Park Farm, Pontyberem, has a modernised and extended three-bedroom farmhouse, modern buildings and just under 70 acres of generally level pastureland. The guide price is ÂŁ595,000, with offers again due by 19 July.

Pentre Howell Farm, with 90 acres at Llanddowror, has a substantial traditional seven-bedroom farmhouse, also renovated but needing finishing, modern farm buildings, a detached building with consent for a holiday cottage and a traditional building offering further potential. The deadline is 26 July and the price guide is ÂŁ1m. (McCartneys 01874 610 990)
