Towergate purchase underwriter

THE UK‘S biggest independent agricultural underwriter, AIUA, has been bought by the Towergate Underwriting Group.

AIUA, which manages farm business for Royal and Sun Alliance and Norwich Union, has 2500 agents across the country.

The move, says chairman David Murray Wells, will provide a platform for growth for both companies.
