Volac buys eastern European distributor

Dairy nutrition firm Volac has bought-out its distributor for central and eastern Europe.

The acquisition of Czech company Agrobest – which has sold Volac products across the region since the early 1990s – is hoped to give the company greater access to the fast growing markets in countries east of Germany.

Average cows yields in the Czech Republic and Slovakia are reported to have risen by 50% in the last ten years and this is an area that Volac seems keen to capitalise on.
