These are the terms and conditions covering the use by Farmers Weekly, RABI and RSABI of reader photos submitted to the Charity Calendar Photo Competition 2024
- Every picture submitted to Farmers Weekly the Charity Calendar Photo Competition 2024 that fits the competition criteria will be automatically entered into the competition.
- In this context, “submitted” is deemed to include images uploaded to the Charity Calendar Photo Competition 2024 gallery at www.fwi.co.uk/our-farming-peopler.
- Photos must be landscape format, have been taken within 18 months of submission, and must show farming people at work or play in the UK rural community/countryside.
- Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Submissions must include contact details for the photographer so that Farmers Weekly can follow up for more information as required for editorial or promotional purposes. All data will be handled in line with the Mark Allen Group privacy policy.
- Farmers Weekly, RABI and RSABI and their affiliated companies and businesses reserve the right to use any of the submitted pictures more than once for promotional purposes in their magazines, websites, or in any other medium or formats – both in connection with the promotion of the calendar and in any other context in perpetuity.
- By submitting a photograph to the competition gallery, you are confirming:

- that you own the copyright to the media and there will be no fees attached to its use as outlined above;
- that you have obtained permission from all persons in the image – including the parents of any children featured in the shot – to submit that image to the competition, and that they have agreed to its use as outlined above.
- Image copyright remains the photographer’s. People submitting photographs retain the right to use those photographs again themselves for personal and/or commercial purposes.
- The competition is open to amateur photographers. You are not excluded from entering if you have previously won photography competitions, had your photography published, or even earned money from the sale of photos. However, full-time professional photographers are precluded from entering.
- Employees of Mark Allen Group, RABI and RSABI and their families are not eligible for entry.
- You can submit pictures that have been entered for other photography competitions, as long as doing so does not contravene the terms and conditions of those competitions.
- There is no limit on the number of pictures you can submit.
- The closing date of the competition is 11.59pm on Friday 15 March 2024. You can still upload images after this date, but they will not be entered into the competition.
- After the closing date, 12 main winners will be picked to represent each month of the calendar. One outstanding image will be chosen for the calendar front The winners and a selection of highly commended entries will feature as part of an exhibition to be held in the Houses of Parliament in spring 2024.
- The decision of the judges as to the selection of the winning shots and any highly commended entries is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The entrants who submit shortlisted images will be contacted after the closing date. Judging will commence from 1 April and winners will be announced in an issue of Farmers Weekly.
