Cereals 2013: Dammann demos self-propelled sprayer

German manufacturer Dammann was showing its DT2500H self-propelled sprayer for the first time in the UK. Imported by Chantry Dammann, it replaces the DT2000H and now gives growers the option of 5,000- or 6,000-litre tanks and boom widths from 24-39m.
The steel-and-aluminium booms are triple-fold, so you can spray at 12m, 24m and 36m with the same boom.
Four-wheel steer and four-wheel drive are standard and the engine output rises from the previous 200hp to 260hp. Cost is about ÂŁ200,000.
