Cereals 2013: Knight’s new compact front and rear sprayer

While self-propelled sprayers are a popular and convenient way of covering the ground, mounted sprayers can provide a cheap way of getting over quite big acreages too.

Knight’s new  front-and-rear sprayer has a tall tank at the back with  1,300, 1,600 or 1,900 litre capacities. Boom widths are up to 30m and the neat folding of the booms  keeps everything compact.

Meanwhile, at the front,  a 1,500 litre front tank means that the combination can give a total of 3,400 litres. At a cost of £45,000, that compares well with self-propelled sprayers, says Knight. A tractor of 200hp would be needed to  operate it.
