Grassland and Muck 2014: Joskin Cargo trailer saves cash on running gear
Belgian muck-and-slurry specialist Joskin usually has a stand riddled with monster machinery and this year’s Grassland & Muck was no different.
Right in the middle was the Cargo trailer unit, which is designed to carry most of the different attachments offered by the lime-liveried manufacturer.
The trailer was mounted with a 26,000-litre tank and dribble bar, but pretty much any Joskin implement can be coupled to the naked chassis including muckspreaders and forage boxes.

Switching between implements can be done in 90 minutes using the hydraulic suspension to lift the tanker up before attaching the legs and undoing the mounting bolts. The rear linkage stays attached to the chassis, while tank body and pump are all attached to make things easier.
Joskin expects machines like the Cargo to get more popular as farmers are forced to take roadworthiness more seriously.
It means buyers can choose expensive, high-quality running gear but only pay for it once by selecting the different body options depending on the tasks in hand.
A 7.5m, triaxle chassis costs £36,000, or a twin-axle 6.6m is £23,000. The one shown on the Joskin stand had a 26,000-litre tank and 15m dribble for an extra £17,000.
