Lamma: Bale wrapper Tanco to show three new models

Irish bale wrapper specialist Tanco says it will have three new machines at the show. The 175 Multi Shear, which featured in our Agritechnica report in November, is designed to reduce the number of loader attachments required by livestock farmers. It allows farmers to feed baled silage and pit silage with the same implement and there are no settings changes to be made between the two.

The machine cuts into pit silage like a standard blockcutter so the clamp face remains clean and sealed. It will also split round bales from 1.2-1.5m and uses one double acting spool. It should fit most tractor loaders and telehandlers and weighs 150kg more than the 170 bale shear.

Other machines at Lamma include the A100 trailed bale wrapper, which replaces the 580 series wrapper. Two models are available, one with servo joystick control and the other with fully automatic control with optional radio remote control kit. The loading arm is said to be stronger and faster and the machine has a lower centre of gravity.

Once the turntable tips up fully, it comes close to the ground and eliminates the need for a bale ramp as the bale is gently dropped from the turntable straight to the ground.

The third new model is the A200 static round bale wrapper. This replaces the 280ARC and is a fully automatic machine with remote control and bale mat as standard. New and more efficient hydraulics are fitted, as well as a strong, robust turntable and geared drive system.
