Lamma: Hardi’s new sprayer gets a 245hp Deutz engine

Hardi’s most up-to-date Alpha self-propelled sprayer will be displayed at the show.
Now powered by a 245hp Deutz engine driving through a hydrostatic transmission, the Alpha’s fuel consumption is claimed to be reduced due to use of two hydraulic pumps, which allow faster road speeds at lower engine rpm.
In the spraying department, the Alpha eco is available with 3,500- or 4,100-litre tanks and boom widths up to 40m. It now uses a high-speed rate regulation system which can respond quickly to vehicle speed changes – the DynamicFluid4 liquid system monitors the pump speed and operating pressure, and makes rate 20 adjustments per second.
The sprayer’s HC9500 controller has touchscreen, field mapping and automatic boom section control as standard.
