Fendt’s mammoth 1000 Vario to make UK debut

With some unique technologies designed to help put its prodigious power down, the 1000 Vario tractor from Fendt (Stand B12) will make its UK debut at Lamma.

For a tractor with up to 500hp, the newcomer has a relatively low unladen weight of 14t, which together with 60kph top speed potential, aims to make it as versatile as its smaller counterparts.

Variable torque distribution to the front and rear axles aims to achieve maximum traction in all conditions, while on-board guidance on ballasting, working speeds, and tyre pressures – together with a central system for pressure adjustment – help the operator achieve optimum traction as well as soil protection.

Single rear tyres up to IF 900/65R46 – and the opportunity to fit duals and triple wheels – also contribute to the traction and flotation options.
