This year’s Lamma show launched in a new guise undercover at the NEC in Birmingham.
Miles away from the freezing conditions of Peterborough, farmers were able to walk around in comfortable shoes free from muddy stands and being battered by the weather.
The change of location may have been seen as a positive move, but there were some notable absentees in the tractor world, namely John Deere and Case, New Holland and Claas, who all decided to give the show a miss this year – KV, Amazone and Lemken also stayed at home.
That said, there were still 11 halls full of shiny machines, including new loaders from JCB and Manitou along with new tractors from Armatrac and McCormick.
