New cab for Knight’s self propelled

Knight is now offering plush Claas cabins on its flagship 20-series self-propelled sprayers.

The new cab – similar to that used in Claas’ Jaguar foragers – is larger than the firm’s own unit and comes with a larger passenger seat and refrigerator.

Most machine functions, including engine management and steering mode are controlled via a new in-cab screen, which comes with a novel feature that allows drivers to steer the rear wheels independently while tracking across steep banks.

Purchasers will pay a £3,500 premium for the new cab, which bumps the price of a 2050 machine to about £170,000.

Also on the stand was a tweaked version of the firm’s Raven cultivator that can handle subsoiling duties as well as general cultivations.

Previous models could only work to a depth of 6 inches, but thanks to a set of deep loosening legs the new machine can work up to 14 inches. Prices start at £18,333 for the 2.5m machine.
