Country Office wins top agricultural bookkeeping award

The Country Office has been named Agricultural Bookkeeper of the Year at the 2025 ICB Luca Awards in London, recognising its role in strengthening the administration of UK farming businesses.

The Institute of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators (IAgSA) congratulated the Shropshire-based firm, noting that farm secretaries and rural business administrators have historically lacked sector-specific recognition.

The organisation said the new award highlights “the vital role these professionals play in supporting the resilience and productivity of UK farming”.

Founded by sisters Sarah Glazebrook-Milner and Clarrie Dale, The Country Office provides bookkeeping, payroll, grant applications, farm assurance and business management support to rural enterprises.

The pair received the award on 17 November, marking what they described as a significant moment for agricultural administration.

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award. We are passionate about supporting farmers and rural businesses to maximise operational efficiency,” said Ms Glazebrook-Milner.

Ms Dale added: “With our family farm background, we understand the realities of farm life. We tailor our services to each client, using innovative systems to boost efficiency while staying on top of legislation.”

IAgSA chair Louise Templeton said: “This award is a testament not only to The Country Office’s professionalism and dedication, but to the increasing recognition of agricultural administrators across the UK.

“Farm secretaries and rural bookkeepers are the backbone of many farming businesses, and it is fantastic to see their work celebrated nationally.”

IAgSA also acknowledged runner-up Shirley Hidderley of Hidderley’s Farm Bookkeeping, recognised for her long-term service and commitment to raising industry standards.
