Faldo’s men call for farmer support

Nick Faldo’s Great Britain and Ireland golf team have called on Ireland’s farmers to support them in their effort to win the Seve Trophy at the Heritage course in Killenard.
More than 80,000 people attend the annual National Ploughing Championship, while only a fraction of that figure witnessed Faldo’s men lose the opening four-balls 3-2 to the European team.
According to today’s London Metro newspaper, Former Europe number one Colin Montgomerie said: “The sooner they finish the better – they can come and support us.
“It’s good quality golf and a great course, but we need the farmers to bring their wellies and get over here.”
