Farmers Weekly photo contest now open for entries

Farmers Weekly’s 2025 Photography Competition is officially open, and we’re on the lookout for the most stunning, creative, and heart-warming snapshots of farming and rural life.
Amateur photographers have until 11.59pm on Friday, 21 November to enter our much-loved annual competition, which celebrates the beauty, character, and everyday moments of British agriculture through the seasons.

Whether it’s misty mornings in the lambing shed, vintage tractors in action, or the buzz of harvest, we want to see your farm life captured through your lens.
There are seven categories to choose from:
- Landscapes
- Livestock
- Machinery
- People
- Wildlife
- Young Photographer
- Vintage Kit (new for 2025)
You can submit as many images as you like, in one or more categories – so dust off your camera or scroll through your phone and get snapping.
Share your best photos of farming and countryside life, from the quiet moments to the busiest days in the field. The competition is open to amateur photographers only.

Those who have previously won photography competitions, had images published, or even sold the occasional photo are still eligible.
However, professional photographers are not permitted to enter. All images must be taken by the person submitting them.
The top shot and two highly commended images in each category will be featured in the bumper Christmas edition of Farmers Weekly on 19 December.
Then in January we’ll crown the overall winner and two runners-up who will share a prize pot of £500.
So get out there, capture the spirit of the countryside, and show us what farming life looks like through your eyes.
To enter, simply visit fwi.co.uk/photo-comp-2025 and load your images to the relevant category.
