Well, we could have the ideal opportunity for you. Farmers Weekly is looking for a community editor to bring to life the human-interest stories that matter to farmers and their families.
Whether it’s compiling a lighthearted listicle about life at agricultural college or writing a serious feature about mental health issues in the countryside, the job will involve overseeing the brand’s community activities.
The new recruit will work online and in print across all channels, with a particular focus on video, social media and shareable content.

The sort of person we’re after will already enjoy looking at harvest photos on Instagram, they’ll read news about giant lambs when it pops up in their Twitter feed and laugh out loud at YFC video clips.
But, critically, they’ll be brimming with ideas for how to turn such things into compelling material for FW’s website, magazine and social media audiences.
This is a mainly online-focused role, but the successful candidate will also be able in charge of reflecting this community spirit in the Farmlife pages of the magazine.
We want someone capable of leading our fast-moving social media presence, who can make great videos and, as well as planning well ahead, is very responsive to the news agenda.
The role is based in our office in Sutton, Surrey, but to get the most from it you will be getting out and about on farm and going to industry events.
