Photo of the Week: Dawn breaks above cow and her calf

This week’s photo was taken by farm and dairy worker Flynn Hurley on Nixon’s Farms in Ridgewardine, north Shropshire.

It captures a cow and her calf in silhouette against a stunning sunrise.

Flynn took the photo as she was fetching the cows and calves from the field.

The family dairy farm, run by Ian Nixon and son Will, milks 4,000 Procross cattle at peak. Flynn works closely with the team and says “it’s an amazing farm to work at”.
