Photo of the Week: Happy as a pig in straw

This week’s shot is of Stacey the Saddleback pig keeping warm in a fresh bed of straw.

It was submitted by Bex Walter, a final year vet student, who also farms with her partner Liam in Dorset.

Silverwood Farm is primarily a beef concern, but they also have three Saddlebacks.

Bex says: “We bought the pigs last year (mainly for ourselves!). It has been so much fun having them here.”

“I took the photo as my partner Liam was giving [the pigs] more straw for their bedding, they all wanted to get involved!”
