Photo of the Week: Harvest continues under changeable skies

Much of the country experienced rain in mid-July, breaking the spell of hot dry weather, as this photo of the week brilliantly captures with the sunny sky punctuated by rain clouds.

The shot, taken by Shaunna Williams, shows husband Ian harvesting the Rebellion wheat crop.

Harvest is going well at Lea Hall Farm in Shropshire, which grows 480ha of wheat. The first 80ha combined so far yielded 12 t/ha at 15.3% moisture.

The farm’s oilseed rape harvest is completed, with the 106ha of Hear averaging 5.1t/ha.
