Planning a barbecue? Farmers Weekly Farm Chef Mary-Ann Beaty explains how to make a sticky marinade, perfect for sausages
4 tbsp tomato sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp malt vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp powdered mustard
1. In a large bowl, mix together the appropriate ingredients. You can set aside a small dish of the marinade for basting.
2. Marinade your meat for at least one hour, but overnight is fine.
3. Barbecue/grill/oven cook as required.
NB: Sausages work fabulously with this marinade, but it can be used with any meat
