VIDEO: Farmers say ‘thank you’ for buying British
Eighteen farmers from across the UK are the stars of a new NFU video that thanks the British public for backing farmers during a difficult year.
The one-minute video features livestock, dairy, cereals and potato producers saying thank you for buying British and supporting the industry through 12 challenging months, including the severe snowfall in April.
NFU vice president Adam Quinney said: “After the furore at the start of the year over horsemeat, complex food chains and mislabelling, consumers have increasingly shown their support for British farmers.
“This video is just a small way of saying thank you to the people of Britain for backing British farming.”
