Leicestershire estate sells for £1 million over guide price

The Langley Estate is understood to have sold for significantly more than its guide price, according to joint selling agent Savills.

The Leicestershire estate sold in lots to a mix of investment and commercial buyers, said Savills’ Alex Lawson.

Development potential and historically tight land supplies helped drive demand, he added.

The property at Diseworth, near Castle Donington, consisted of three farms totalling 732 acres of Grade 3 arable and livestock land. It was guided at £4m but made closer to £5m, said Mr Lawson, who sold it along with local agent Mather Jamie.investors.
