Rare Bucks offering on market

ROBINSON & HALL’S David Jones is selling one of the few decent-sized Bucks farms to hit the market this year.

New Farm at East Claydon was originally rented from the Verney family’s Claydon Estate by farmer John Hinton, but he bought the farm in the 1950s and is now selling it on his retirement.

Including a four-bed house, Mr Jones has priced the farm at almost £2m.

He has also split it seven ways, with a 180-acre block of arable land and some building with consent for light industrial use priced at £450,000 (£2500/acre).

A 75-acre parcel let under a traditional tenancy is available for £135,000 (£1800/acre).
