1. Entries must be a limerick about Charlie Flindt.
2. Limericks should be five lines long with AABBA rhyming. For example:
There once was a farmer called Charlie
Who used to grow wheat and some barley
He's now out the door
By a quarter past four
For a pint at the Pots and a parley
3. Anyone can enter a limerick, and multiple entries per person are permitted. Entries must be your own original work and not infringe the copyright of any other works. By submitting an entry you agree that Farmers Weekly may republish your work in any format on any platform in perpetuity. Full terms can be found on the Mark Allen Group website.
4. Limericks should be submitted via social media
facebook.com/farmersweeklyuk) or email (farmersweekly@markallengroup.com). Employees of Farmers Weekly and Mark Allen Group, and their families, are not eligible for entry.
5. Entry deadline is 30 November 2023 and winners will be announced on social media shortly afterwards. Winners will be contacted directly.
6. The five best limericks, as judged by Charlie Flindt, will win one of his books. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners can choose which title they would like to receive (Sweet Home Hinton Ampner, Farming Hinton Ampner – the Brexit Virus Year or Hinton Ampner Farming’s End).
