NBA to continue as a united body

SCOTLAND’S MEMBERS of the National Beef Association have decided not to break away from the NBA following a meeting on Friday, July 8.

Rumours had been circulating that Scottish members were growing increasingly disenchanted with the organisation and felt that their interests might be better served by a separate body dedicated to Scottish interests.

However, their concerns were quashed at the meeting on Friday and the NBA will continue to operate largely as before.

Both Robert Forster, chief executive, and Duff Burrell, newly elected chairman, will continue to head the organisation.
