It’s a question that has been put to us by FW reader Yvonne Thomas of Pantycoch, Pembrokeshire who has just lost her 33-year-old cow Snowdrop. Mrs Thomas said the animal, who died this week, was not the prettiest cow, but a real pet.

And she wondered: “Was she the oldest cow in Britain?”
