GEA had the MIone multibox robotic milker on show at the Dairy Event.

Like most robots, it offers reduced labour, increased yields and enhanced welfare, but instead of a single unit format, it’s marketed as a “Multi-box” system. Once the initial MIone box has been installed, further boxes can be added depending on the size of the herd.

Up to five boxes can be connected, all run from the central control box of the first machine, cutting cost and disruption, says GEA.
