Nordic Stald attracted the interest of a lot of Danish pig producers with this three-layer flooring material designed to reduce bruising in pig farrowing pens.

Applied to concrete, it consists of epoxy glue, then 3mm of rubber and finally a non-slip, pressure-washable polyurethane layer.

It is patchable and should last 10 years, says the company. Cost is £50/£60/sq m + installation.
