Producers link to abattoir

Pig producers now have access to an internet facility allowing them to receive electronic kill sheet data directly from the abattoir.

Provided by RMIF and BPEX’s British Pig Health Scheme (BPHS), “qbox” is a management tool that provides accurate data on the number of pigs that are meeting the right specification. The program also offers access to the daily health status of carcases following slaughter.

When used in conjunction with RMIF’s benchmarking facility and the BPHS, comparisons with other producers becomes more user friendly.
