National Fallen Stock Scheme has picked up 750,000 dead animals

Three quarters of a million collections have taken place since 2004 under the National Fallen Stock Scheme, it has been announced.

There are now 148 collectors operating throughout the UK offering discounted fallen stock collection service.

The 750,000th collection took place from Mr J Heyworth, based in Farndon, Cheshire.

Mr Heyworth runs a dairy farm and joined the scheme after hearing about it in the national farming press.
