Bernard Matthews has appointed Rob Burnett as its new chief executive.
For the last 12 years Mr Burnett has been chief executive of S Daniels and latterly Hain Daniels. He has wide brand experience with New Covent Garden Soup, Johnson’s Juice, Linda McCartney and Hartleys. He has also had major involvement with retailer brands.
Prior to this Mr Burnett had sales and general management roles with Albert Fisher, including managing director for the seafood division and group commercial director. He will join the business on 30 June.
“I am excited to be joining a big brand with the reach of Bernard Matthews and the potential to reinvigorate it to support our valuable customers,” Mr Burnett said.
“We are delighted to have Rob joining us to continue and accelerate the recovery of our business which is well under way,” said executive chairman David Joll, who has been running the company since coming out of retirement last year following a number of senior management departures.
