Blackacre Farm Eggs rebrands its egg range

Blackacre Farm Eggs has re-branded its egg range to help better reflect the family focus of the West Country business.

The brand new pack design features the Blackacre Farm logo and an image of Dan Wood, who runs the family farm.

“A lot has changed over the 30 years that we have been in business, but the ethics, ethos and family values that have helped us to grow have remained the same. People are increasingly concerned about animal welfare and we know that more and more consumers understand about provenance and the importance of traceability.

“These are not new ideas to us at Blackacre – they have always been paramount to us. The new packaging has been designed to reflect the importance of West Country family farming to us.”

He went on to explain that he decided to use a photograph of himself on the pack with the hens as that is where he spends most of his time. “I wanted people to see exactly where our free-range eggs come from.”

For the next three months, Blackacre will be donating 2p from every sale of its six large free-range eggs to the local “Have a Heart” charity fundraising campaign.

“The charity works to help build a better future for children living in West Country communities.”

Mr Wood added: “As a local family business we are delighted to be involved with ‘Have a Heart’ and we hope our support will help disadvantaged young people in the West Country to have a great start in life.

“We aim to raise at least £5000, but we hope people look out for our new packs and help us raise much, much more,” he said.
