Cargill poultry Europe wins internal award

Cargill’s European poultry business has won the firm’s internal award for commitment to the environment and the local community for the eigth consecutive time.
The internal award was presented to the European poultry business for its “Excellence by Design” scheme, a programme to improve environmental health and safety practice that has continued over the past 10 years.
Bryan Atkinson, environmental health and safety (EH&S) manager for Cargill Meats Europe, said: “We have developed a ‘best in class’ EH&S culture within the company.
“There is a strong desire from everyone within Cargill’s poultry business to constantly be improving the way in which we work, and to be recognised in this way is very rewarding.”
Cargill’s European poultry business has manufacturing and agricultural businesses in Hereford, Newent and Wolverhampton in the UK and Orleans in France.
