Egg producer bares all for charity calendar

Devonshire egg producer Peter Foster is one of 12 men to pose naked for the annual Farmers Calendar, in a quest to raise funds for Help for Heroes.

The calendar, now in its 16th year, features men who are either directly involved in or related to agriculture, who are prepared to bare all in the name of charity.

It has been produced at Painsford Manor Farm by Nicola de Pulford – who is incidentally Peter Foster’s partner – since 1999 and has raised many thousands of pounds for charities, including the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution. She recently presented a cheque for £1,000 to Help for Heroes at the HMS Drake Naval Base in Plymouth, which includes a rehabilitation centre for injured servicemen.  

Painsford Manor farm is a 250-acre mixed holding, with arable, suckler cows, sheep and a flock of 4,000 free-range layers. The eggs are supplied to private packer Foots Eggs at Sherborne, Dorset.
