Freedom Food award for 2 Sisters Group
A chicken producer from Cullompton in Devon has received a prestigious award from RSPCA Freedom Food.
Andrew Maunder (pictured right) from 2 Sisters Food Group (previously Lloyd Maunder) has been recognised for his instrumental work in helping improve the lives of chickens throughout the food and farming industry.
The total number of chickens farmed to the RSPCA’s strict welfare standards under Freedom Food has increased more than fivefold in the past five years, from about 10m in 2004 (when Lloyd Maunder first joined the scheme) to more than 56m in 2009.
