Happy Egg Co. launches new products

The Happy Egg Co is rolling out a range of Scotch eggs and single serve quiches as it seeks to expand its portfolio of added value products.

For the first time, Scotch eggs are now available in Tesco stores priced at £1.49, either as a 2-pack or a 12 mini-pack, adding a branded option to what has traditionally been an own-label driven category.

“We see Scotch eggs as a natural progression from shell eggs and an exciting way to break into a new category,” said head of brands, Rob Newell.

The 170g quiches follow the launch of the larger sharing size quiches in June. They will initially be stocked in Tesco Express stores where they have replaced the sharing size quiches which have now secured listings in Tesco stores nationwide.

The Happy Egg Co. is one of seven egg processors signed up to the Lion scheme, using quality assured British eggs only.
