New antioxidant product from Frank Trouw

Frank Wright Trouw Nutrition International has launched a new range of antioxidant products, which the firm says delivers “exceptional support for health, vitality and fertility”.
The Trouw AO-mix is a blend of antioxidants for inclusion in the diets of monogastrics, which has been developed based on how well the components actually perform in the digestive system.
The firm said antioxidants were “crucial” for overall health in monogastrics. “They protect cells from damage caused by the destructive effect of free radicals and help animals withstand the effects of stress, a common trigger for disease problems,” a statement said.
“Antioxidants such as vitamin E have been included in pig and poultry diets for many years,” added Sarah Rennie, commercial poultry nutritionist with the firm. “To deliver optimum protection, antioxidants must be effectively absorbed and then efficiently distributed throughout the animal. Improving bioavailability to increase digestibility and distribution can ensure maximum antioxidant protection and allow reduced inclusion rates.
“The superior bioavailablity of Trouw AO-mix allows it to be used as a partial replacement of vitamin E. If the requirement is to lift immune status further, Trouw AO-mix can be used to top-up current vitamin E levels, providing a cheaper way to boost immune status.”
Trouw AO-mix is fed as part of a mineral premix and can be included effectively in all feeding systems.
