New poultry photo gallery showcases National Federation winners

Today sees the launch of a new photo gallery which aims to bring you the latest images from the poultry showing circuit.

Our coverage kicks off with Poultry World pure breeds reporter Mike Corrigan at the National Federation of Poultry Clubs Championship show in Staffordshire.

White Leghorn pullet

This time, the judges awarded the Supreme Championship to an outstanding White Leghorn pullet belonging to the legendary partnership of Waterworth and Woods.

This partnership must be the longest surviving partnership in the poultry world and has certainly lasted much longer than most modern marriages. Of course Waterworth and Woods are no strangers to the highest poultry awards in their native Lancashire and they have a litany of major national titles to their name.

Silver Sebrights

The Reserve Championship went to Robin Creighton and one of his outstanding Silver Sebrights.

Robin, a vet from Essex, may not fit neatly into the category of being a poultry institution but he’s won more major titles in the last few years than most exhibitors would ever hope to achieve in a lifetime. In fact he’s won a staggering 21 show/reserve champions in this short length of time.
